Buzz Buzz Buzz

Even though it's not out until the end of the month,
The Ivy has been receiving some *awesome* prepublication buzz! So far in reviews:

“The Ivy has to be one of my most favorite debut books of this year... I was hooked from page one! The Ivy had me completely captivated... I found myself laughing, cringing, shaking my head with disapproval, excitement, and giddy. This book is a must read. I absolutely cannot wait for book two!!!”

“I can not say enough good things about this book. After I started it I could not put it down and finished it in one day. This book is full of so much humor, drama, romance, and everything else that a college person goes through that you just have to keep reading it.”

“Wow...seriously...wow. This is not the type of book I typically read but I thought the cover was interesting and the blurb was intriguing so I decided to try something new. I am so glad I went out of my comfort zone and read The Ivy because it blew me away!”

“The first book in a series I felt like reading this novel was a little bit like watching a Gossip Girl marathon, complete with a cliffhanger ending that will have you dying for the next book.”

“I picked this book up as an e-copy card at the Book Expo America. It sounded fascinating and I wasn’t disappointed.”

“Will I reread it?
I think so, I really liked this book. And the writing was very different than anything I have read recently which was refreshing. I definitely recommend picking this book up. It is filled with great advice before each chapter which was also packed with a lot of humor.”

“Read, live vicariously, learn what to (possibly) NOT do your first time away from home”

“Just as the blurb promises, there are steamy romances (quite a tangled web I might add) and scandalous secrets. The Ivy will have you laughing, gasping out loud and will leave you wanting more. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the series plays out.”

“The Ivy was a great "college life" book that kept me entertained throughout.”

“I liked the Ivy a lot, it was full of drama, romance, and all around fun. I was also very happy with who Callie ended up with.”

“This book is like that pop song you can't help but like, or that t.v. show you can't help but love. It's a dirty little secret. It's my dirty little secret.”

"INCREDIBLY AMAZING! It's my new favorite series!"

“To me, The Ivy is like Gossip Girl goes to college meets Lauren Conrad's L.A. Candy series with just a bit more substance then both of those reads have combined, which left it to be a mix I absolutely adored!
....In all, The Ivy proves to be the perfect breezy end of summer read and a new series to keep an eye out for because I have a feeling it can only get better and better from here.”

“I think if you enjoyed Gossip Girl, The Luxe and other books of that nature, where the characters are embroiled in gossip, where relationships shift at the speed of light, and where girls are more frenemies than friends, you will certainly enjoy The Ivy. I'm on tenterhooks for more and according to the authors, I won't get book two until May 2011!”

August MADNESS

Whew! August has been a crazy month so far and, as we gear up for release, things are only going to get crazier!

In just the past two weeks, we've:

--Shot footage for an author video, which we will post just as soon as it's edited so STAY TUNED--

--Recorded a podcast, which is also in need of some serious editing since there were at least five straight minutes of giggling, but will be up sometime in the near future;

--Guest blogged here and here at our publisher's blog, Under the Greenwillow;

--Interviewed with some awesome YA fellow authors and bloggers;

--AND Hosted a live chat on inkpop about our experiences on the road to publication as first time authors of a debut series--

Can we say whew! one more time? And this is really just the beginning so keep checking back for dishy behind-the-scenes extras from the world of The Ivy.
